What are printed shipping boxes?
Printed shipping boxes are boxes made from corrugated or micro-flute board that protect products in transit and carry the sender's logo to the customer's door. Corrugated board has a wavy middle layer, the flute, between flat outer layers, which makes it light but strong enough for shipping; micro-flute is corrugated board with a particularly fine flute and a smooth surface for printing. Are the boxes environmentally friendly?
The e-commerce boxes are made from micro-flute board produced from recycled paper, and the digitally printed version uses water-based inks. Collapsible boxes are delivered flat and only take up storage space once they are assembled.
